they really are NOT audi like ... they really fit with the car; they are not 'brilliant' but 'mat' (sorry couldn't find the correct english words -- hope you know what I mean)

DCT is something you'll have to get used to. My wife's E60 520d has also an automatic tranny but this is not compareable

I can already tell you that the 35is is more eager to drive in a spirited way than was my E92 335i ....

i drove an E92 with DCT and i was blown away. It's been a while since then I have driven one. But recently, I drove a new 2010 Audi S4, and I was blown away with their Double clutch transmission. Car just gave me goose bumps. Well enjoy your car and congrats.

Enjoy your new bad ass car! Does it fill quick? Have you ever driven a Z4M?

Nope, never drove a Z4M ... I tend to choose a car which is perfectly as a daily and not too harsh to ride as not to annoy my wife but with sufficient performance

Yes I saw it that I'm in 'car of the month'
Never been so popular in my life

About the review requested, you will need to wait a bit longer, I'm not doing much driving these days ....

It takes some learning though with that DCT: the first small push on the gas pedal does not translate into much action, pushing a bit (a bit !!) further gives already reasonable acceleration. Need to learn (again) to drive it sloooow in case it is needed (although this is not what the car was meant to be made for )

Although I know the engine for years now (had the same in my E92 335i), I'm eagerly awaiting for the break-in period to be over so that +4000rpm's are possible ....

Music system is great (took the top-notch version)

Servotronic is different but I find it ok for now

DCT is in 7th gear at 70km/h when going with the flow ... in fact in reasonably dense traffic it is - in D-mode - not so easy to go over 2000rpm ...

This DCT is more aggressive than the one I drove a few months earlier, which was the 'regular' Z4 35i ...

To be continued.... and don't think I drive slow, it is just a question of break-in period and wrong hours (lots of traffic) that I've been drivin' it lately

LOL That's exactly how I choose cars as well. Congratulations on your new car, it looks awesome. Exact same interior I would choose too

I just went to BMW Welt (and museum) on wednesday and tried to convince my wife that the beautiful red Z4 35is they had in the hall should be our next new car
