M3 Control and Thrust Arms Upgrade
Not sure if anyone has upgraded their control and thrust arms to the M3 version. I had to replace oil pan gasket and decided to upgrade the control and thrust arms to the M3 version at the same time.
In my opinion, this by far is the best upgrade suspension wise. I have the KW V1 coilovers and didn't feel much different than stock, other than it being lowered a bit and losing the adaptive functionality. The steering response is night and day. It feels more planted and responsive. Going around curves feels much flatter and don't get that feeling of the car lifting on one side like the oem suspension setup. The control arms are straighter, it doesn't have the curved bend at the end so it is a bit longer which gives you more negative camber.

Both will fit. The control arms are straight so it is a little longer than stock. The stock ones have a little curve at the end which makes them shorter.
The thrust arms are the parts that looks very curvy, these fit without issue. There is only one thing you have to adapt if you have auto headlight leveling. Z4 headlight leveling sensor is on the right, the M3 control arms headlight leveling sensor is on the left. The bracket that connects the leveling sensor to the control arm you have to get a new bracket or bend the stock bracket to be able to to connect to the control arm.

Better bet is to use Turner Monoball Tension strut in lieu of M3 version which still has rubber bushing that deflects. I've tried them both and prefer the turner strut.

The arms are actually the M3 arms with the TM monoball. If you really need little to no deflection in the arms then the monoball is a great option, but I daily drive it and never take it to the track so the rubber bushings are good enough.
After searching on M3Post, I would not get the TM monoball.
