Z4 or 335?
Looking for some feedback. I had a 06 Z4 that I loved (my first convertible). I then returned it off lease for a 08 335, fully loaded and upgraded with the Dinan Stage 2 software. I like the added space and love the car, but it's not a Z. My dealer can get me into a loaded Z3 35 for the same monthly payment. What are your thoughts on staying 335 for the extra space or going back to the Z4 for the experience?

I had the old Z4 back in 2004 for 2 years, then went for an E92 325i coupe that I ran for 2 and a half years. The coupe is a terrific car and I really loved it, but it doesn't have the "special" Z factor that the new Z4 has. At the moment I'm liking not having rear seats and a large luggage space.
The new Z4 is a more focussed car, and you really feel part of the driving experience. Two different cars, so it really comes down to what you want from a car. Good luck in choosing!

I've driven the new Z4. Z4 is a good looking and nice as a daily driver and weekend cruiser/tourer. E92 is also a good looking and nice daily driver that is more practical because of the extra space for touring and long distance trips. One nice feature of the 335 is the fold down rear seats that lets me transport my road bike. Performance wise, the Z4 may be a tad faster 0-60 but I like the ride and handling better on the 335.

If you don't need extra space I would take Z4. E92 is nice coupe, but driving Z4 is completly different and feels much more special. You need some time to adapt on Z4, but when you do that, its perfect car. Besides that, E92 will recieve a face lift by end of the year, so it is getting a little old... Also interior is in Z4 much better too.

335. No brainer.
If you miss the roadster, there are other cars that can do much better than z4 at cheaper cost. |

I'm assuming your comparing the 335 vert vs. the Z4?
If so then I say go with the 335. Its a great car for what it is, fast sleek and comfortable with space. The new Z4 is impressive I just can't get over the fact that I can't fit some golf clubs in the trunk with the top down, at least you can put your clubs in the back seat of the 335 with the top down. I have an M roadster and the fact that I could fit a touring bag in the trunk with the top down sealed the deal. |

The 135i can do what a 335i can do in terms of performance (actually slightly better as it is lighter) with comparable levels of luxury and comfort (at least for front occupants) for cheaper.
