Junk in my trunk, please ID

When I bought my Z4 (certified pre-owned), this item was in my trunk. I’m not sure what it is and what it is for. Thank you.

I've never assembled ours, but I think it's a shelf unit that fits in the ski pass-through behind the seats.

You are correct. I removed the useless (to me) ski bag and now have a shelf unit to store "stuff".

Always laughed about that. I used to be a competitive skier, but the last vehicle I’d ever bring to the snow would be my Z4. What with the road salt and generally poor handling of the Z4 in snow, I’d take my 4x4 truck before I would ever consider taking my Z4 skiing.
