It is just sitting on top of it like a garage made custom wide body kit you design at home but can't find wheels wide enough for it.
The stance of this car is the least egregious problem it has. The sheer repulsive styling of the front and rear of the car will make most not even notice.

Car looks like a huge LEGO car with the sharp edges everywhere. Look at that rear bumper, it is like a trucks tail gate that you can stand ontop of. Cant believe bmw approved this design...

That lower facia/grill area is quite horrible. ZERO protection for the radiators as mentioned above. did they run outta money on that spot?
I also am not a fan of those screens replacing an actual gauge area. I don't like that trend much at all! I just don't care for that look of no gauge area and wide open screens.
The aftermarket will love filling in that lower grill area.

And in BMW's further attempts to move away from standard M design language they have removed the trapezoidal lower front intake design that has been a distinctive design feature of M cars forever. All that squareness is just ugly. Can BMW not design new cars that are attractive anymore? They don't have a good track record with their last few attempts.

A "hybrid" design to introduce the non-ICE era to the customers, perhaps.

Hybrid of attractive and unattractive I guess to get us to the age of full unattractive cars.

Get us to? They've already been delivering the age of full unattractive cars.
