Thanks gblansten, much appreciated. Not celebrating yet but maybe a case of the pen mightier than the sword, we'll see.

That would be nice, but I'm not sure some of the very activist governments will be so quick to back track. Lets hope though.

Shift in power will quickily back track any major policy changes without fail

May probably be a winner for the current regime if implemented as without this they are onto a loser next year. There were 34.8 M drivers in UK at the last count.

Yes ! It's going ahead, ban on gas and diesel new car sales delayed until 2035 confirmed by P M, same as in the States.
Now for the next stage to dispel the climate crisis lie and keep our gas cars without more gubment interference.

It's one of those stupid industry trends of removing physical releases and buttons they need to stop, and Tesla is not the only manufacturer guilty of doing that. However, there is a manual release in Model 3 to open the doors in cases like that, but I'm sure nobody informed them about it.

I've never left a car rental lot with anything but a full tank of GASOLINE. WTF Hertz sending an EV out with just 90 miles of range rented to an EV virgin.

Clickbait is clickbait. There are good resources on why hydrogen is so impractical for personal vehicle ICE, from materials, to distribution, to performance, to efficiency.

This isn't a Tesla thing. A man and his dog died in a Corvette because he didn't know where the manual release was.

Did you watch the video? The engineer who built the truck talks about all of that and why it is viable. It seems that Amazon, Walmart and a number of other large companies use hydrogen to power their fork lifts, they produce their own hydrogen on site. Also LA transit uses it to power their buses.

I think rather than dismiss it we should at least consider it as an option when "zero emissions" is being thrust upon us. The fact it uses a modified ICE engine, doesn't have the environmental issues surrounding EV battery production it's worth looking at.

Why the hell the redundancy then? Mechanical levers are used to open doors. Why do we need electronic buttons to do this? It's so stupid. Never once have I thought that grabbing a door lever and using it as the handle to push the car door open was a problem.
