I got my tesla because it's the best EV you can get today, PERIOD. Will be that way for many years to come.

When another car makers offer what it can offer for it's price point, i jump ship.

Software updates cause the system computer to redo a deep look at the battery on reboot resulting in prompts after an update that the battery is close to failing. It doesn't cause the failure but is "associated" temporally with the prompts. Thus it can look like the update caused the failure.

No. Software updates don't kill the battery. Just cause a battery failure detection to occur due to the nature of the software querying the battery more on a reboot/update process. The batteries in general are lasting as advertised and are doing well. Just like most motors last a long time the batteries do also.

Tesla has had QC issues for sure. But this lawsuit is going nowhere. The cars are having true battery failures and not software update induced failures. The batteries will eventually fail on any EV just like motors don't last forever.
