Z4 35i Brakes

I work at a BMW dealership, and I noticed that the 35is do not have the uprated 335i brakes, they just have the same as the 30i. However, in pictures of euro spec cars, the z4 35i has the 335i brakes? what gives?

The gray car is a euro spec 35i and clearly has the big 335i brakes

the blue car is a us spec car, and you can barely see the smaller brakes, but they are clearly not the same as the euro ones.

Hmmm..

A technical data sheet I have says the 35i has 13.7 front brakes while the 30i has 11.8 front brakes. From a quick look, I'd say mine dones.

yeah, but look at your brakes, then look at the brakes on the space gray Euro spec 35i above. I saw the pics from when you got your car, the brakes on the euro car are definitely bigger. Im just curious as to why BMW did this?

Just wondering - are those 19's on the Euro car? I have the US blue 35i, so know those are 18's.

Would that make a difference?

That is me in the blue US 35i. I can take some pictures of my brakes later and post. I have the sport package with the 19 inch wheels.

I am not surprised that they would/could have larger brakes in Germany due to autobahn speeds but they should be at least an option elsewhere.

yes 19", here is a place to buy for 2.5K:

http://www.trademotion.com/partlocat...egoryID=149932

personally, and this is just me, i think that is too high for a non-forged wheel. if they were lightweight forged wheels, i would buy though.

Hey, thanks for the link. Wow the wind deflector is cheaper through that link. I thought that deflector was around 530.00.

Sorry I don't no much about the difference in forged and cast? What is it?

Holy crap! Is it just me, or does that price seem way too inflated? Just looking at various pictures of it, I would have guess half that price for what you get.

I think it is way to pricey. It better cut wind down a whole lot to be worth it.
