I'm thinking about this upgrade for my 09 35i. Wondering if it is important or necessary to add an improved intercooler and/or charge pipe/diverter valve such as the Stett upgrades, to preserve turbo life?

I have no idea but it would be a good idea, especially for the FMIC. I have both of the upgrades from Stett that you mention as our Z was the test mule for them on the e89; we love them.

An upgrade intercooler is definitely going to help keep the temperature of intake air and give you some extra room from heat soak. I personally think charge pipe comes to second after intercooler mod.

Anybody else add this tune and can comment on loading time? I'm considering purchasing it and bringing it to Munich with us when we pick up the car, but don't want to lug a battery charge around for two weeks either. I can see 15 min being ok without a trickle charger, but not an hour.

And for ESS, COBB's/JB4's valet feature is very attractive. I checked your website and couldn't find if this offered something to reduce boost, etc so the valets dont end up spinning 363hp and 350ft#s into a wall while we enjoy dinner

Lastly, when will you have the tool for my N55. Pulling my ECU is not an option

Thank you

I have it installed. It's about 1hr to read the ECU software, then 15min to load. I did it without the trickle charger (large public garage) and didn't have a problem. I turned all consumers e.g. radio off.
