Rocking while in Park?

Hi all. I was wondering if anyone has experienced this. It seems to only happen when I first start the car up on a cold morning. While sitting there in park, the car appears to be rocking and wants to lunge forward while it is in park. It appears the only reason it is not going anywhere is because it is in park. It will not do it after driving a while and the car is warmed up. I first thought it was the wind blowing the car. ( that is how subtle it is) but I felt it the other morning with No wind. Anyone else seem to feel this? My car is a 2015 35i Z4. Thanks.

There was a thread on this a year or so ago. Very common.

Can't remember, but it's got something to do with the transmission's design. Wait long enough and someone will be along with a better memory than mine!

I remember this discussion as well.

The end result... nothing to worry about.

Since it was nothing to worry about, I also do not remember an explanation other than this is how the DCT behaves.

It was me - this is the transmission doing a self-test according to a tranny re-builder on another forum. Nothing wrong with it
