I should have taken a before picture. I did it myself a year ago and it was definitely due. But it isn’t an old grill that was deteriorated. It wasn’t as bad as this before picture of someone else’s grill from their website and I don’t think the results are quite as good as the after picture from their website. But I’m happy with it overall and I don’t have 3 hours to spend on it right now.

Did you buy a prebuilt? Or just the board or caps? What switches are you using?

That thing needs an ///M badge so badly!

I just got the board and some different caps. This is my first build so my friend is helping me try out a few different switches that she has laying around before buying.

I ended up picking up these caps: https://kbdfans.com/collections/keyc...39522257240203

It doesn't deserve one. I actually don't love that grill all that much and wish I went with a replacement Weber. Stuck with it now though.

How about a Type R sticker then?
I heard it'll add more BTUs.

Went to the stealership to buy some oil and filter kits since I'll just change the oil when I do some N55 work. I walked out w/ only the latter.

They're not selling oil since they haven't gotten a delivery in a long time and have since exhausted all supply. I was advised to pick some up from any auto part store excl the ones around the dealership. Apparently, they bought out the synthetics from the local stores. Geez...

I'm confused. You bought a keyboard that doesn't come with keys?

It's a whoooole ass hobby that I wasn't aware of - custom keyboard building and assembly. From the frames, keys, switches and everything. All totally customizable to your typing, feel and style. One of my best friends has been in it for a few years and she finally convinced me (kinda) just to try one out.

I didn't really know what I was getting myself into, admittedly.

Just refilled the tub with fresh water and the light went out, tested the six year old RCD and it was done.

New Camera

I picked up a Sony a7C to add to the bag. It's about the size of my A6500 but full-frame and newer technology. It is a great compliment to my larger bodies I use for video documentaries.

They are something special. After 30 years as a CPS pro, I finished a travel piece on Machu Picchu and the Sacred Valley after climbing Huayna Picchu - exhausted. I started looking at everything on the market that could save me weight and maintain IQ. I had only used Sony ENG cameras previously and was blown away with the total quality package Sony provides in a smaller/lighter package. I purchased one body and a few lenses for extensive testing and switched completely. Everyone should use what they find the best for them but for my work, and pleasure, Sony is the total package.

LOL. I am so confused.

This must be what non-car people feel like when someone tells them their hobby is something non-car people view as an appliance.

Picked up some new smoke and carbon monoxide detectors.. one of the old ones started to chirp as an end of life alarm. Checked the expiration dates and they were all due soon.

Stay safe out there!
