Alabama haters worst nightmare, Saban just found a QB that can throw the ball and performs under pressure. Not to mention he is quicker than Hurts and just as physical. Hurts just lost his job next season to a true freshman.

A little harder to play defense in second half when others teams starts completing passes down field. Bama was no longer one dimensional like the first half.

Poor Georgia. Hate loosing the game on a mental error (Cover 2 and corner didn't jam the receiver).

Ya. Safety was late but they'll always be late when the corner allows a free release.

With trips to the left and ball on right hash the safeties have to cheat to left side of the hashes.

It was a tough loss for Georgia, but there was also a whole lota luck in the mix for them. Bama kicker missed two fairly easy FG's (36 and 40 yds) which could've ultimately ended the game before any OT. The way Bama came back in the 2nd half was unreal. Pisses me off now that they are returning next year even stronger. I was hoping the Dawgs could squeak this one out so we wouldn't have to see Bama win it back to back.

Yep they should have just lost in regulation instead if Bama could kick field goals

agreed, a ton of luck involved in this year's CFB for Georgia. They had to rely on a choke job by Oklahoma, 2 kickers missing 3 kicks and not playing Bama in the SEC Championship game. Don't expect Georgia to be back next year.

Bama will ALWAYS be back. So long as Saban is there and recruiting the same way. Did you see his D-linemen? They're all NFL caliber guys and they run 2 deep. There's no way you can line up against that and consistently be effective on offense. Georgia had a great game plan mixing up the play calling, and had some fantastic passing plays when they had man coverage and was surprisingly effective running the ball early.

Anyways, the only two teams in the nation that can stack against Bama's talent are Clemson and Ohio State. That's it. Bad for college football though, get used to the same 3 teams always in the hunt every year so long as those coaches are all there.

doesnt' matter who plays QB at USC. As long as they continue to be ineffective recruiting OL and the defense, they'll just be 2nd class in football. They got manhandled by Ohio State.

What I hate about the current playoff structure is that the teams which end the season are not the same which show up at the bowl games. I firmly believe that UGA would've beat the injury plagued Bama if they played in December. Hell, Clemson probably would've beat Bama in December (I don't know what kind of injuries Clemson had in December). UGA was injury free in December.

Everything is different.

I agree. Here's the crazy thing...Bama was essentially given the opportunity to sit out championship week and let others wear each other out for one more week. And then they were given the benefit of driving 2 hours to New Orleans instead of to California.

It's akin to having the #1 overall seed in the NCCA basketball tournament, when in reality they were a toss up with Ohio State for the final spot. But that's just how it works with the current system which is imperfect when you consider teams that sat out championship week.

In fact, I would say conference championships actually overall hurt teams chances as of recent than it helped. The only situation I recall in CFP era where the conference champ game mattered and got a team in was 2014 Ohio State team that needed the game to jump TCU and Baylor.

In any case, I firmly don't believe the playoffs need any expansions to 6 or 8 teams. You have to make every game count in college football. Back in the BCS era, some years, you couldn't afford to even lose a single game. Today, you can actually lose 1 game and still be in. That's perfect IMO.
