Where do you buy your BMW parts? (cabin filter)

Just trying to do some DIY and wanting to buy some minor parts. Due for a cabin filter change and wonder if these are good - has anyone used that first site? It's cheaper @USD15.42 but seems to be paper (not carbon). The 2nd site's filter is ~USD29.59 but it's carbon. Is carbon worth twice the price? TIA.

They're all paper. Some are just carbon coated. Either will work fine. Try Amazon; you'll probably pay less.

I check all the 'regular' BMW aftermarket stores here.

FCP Euro
Turner Motorsport
ECS Tuning
Pelican Parts

There's also a few BMW dealers that do discount online parts sales. They usually show up in a Google search of the part number.

I lean towards FCP Euro as they are the most transparent about Genuine BMW/OE/OEM/Aftermarket and have good customer service.

Right now they have the Corteco version on clearance at $6.23 USD.

I like Pelican Parts for all my filters, and even salmon relays. I'm sure they are good on other parts too. They are quick to ship, and every part fits. Here in wild New Hampshire, rodents are a problem with cabin air filters. Mice can get anywhere. I don't cheap out on filters, and look for top of line.

FCP Euro for their lifetime warranty. Buy one there and the next time you need it, order a replacement, file the warranty claim, send back the old one, and get the money back.

Ok, I did my own cabin filter change...man, it's true what they said about if you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself...the numbnuts at the shop put it on backwards! I don't think it's a major fault but still, the air was not filtering properly.

I'd add RockAuto to GerryC's list. Not the best web site, but the $ they saved me on an E39 M5 expansion tank was eye-opening. Do your homework on Genuine vs. OE vs. OEM vs. Aftermarket. Sometimes OE is the same just with BMW logo ground off, sometimes aftermarket solutions are actual improvements.
