If that is a pic of the real thing, then that is the worst placement of the Z4 badge they could have done. And I will reiterate again... that 3rd brakelight looks absolutely horrible.

Aside from that, I think it's an excellent update to the E85 Roadster back end.

Thanks for sharing.

IMHO, the X6 is the ugliest, most senseless BMW in history, and claustrophobic on the inside. Hope they sell lots.
Or as Dan Neil, staff writer for the LA TImes wrote in his July 25, 2008 review;
"BMW X6: About as useful as a laminated pizza"

Everyone needs to get used to the new front end; it's due to the latest Euro pedestrian crash standards and it's characterized by more upright grills.

Awesome, I love it. I really don't have any qualms with the design, save for the trunklid (and the lack of a coupe for me to see right NOW). I wish it wasn't a simple straight edge like how the current Z4 vert's is. I wish it had a bit of a thick ridge, like a band, to it (like the 6er, or the 3er, or the Z4 coupe).

I'm wondering if the placement of the badge is final. It looks too high. We can also confirm the stupid "sDrive" badge will in fact be real. I personally love this design, and look forward to seeing it in the metal. I hope it won't have gotten too long. This looks like it could hit the spot for BMW.

I do know that I like it much, much more than the soulless Audi TT.

+1. Crash standards dictate most of front end designs. Only limited-run special models or exotics are allowed to be exempt from the regulations.

I actually like the move, regardless. It brings BMW back to the ol' sharknose look.

I am constantly draming of switching the DKG (Doppel-Kupplungs-Getriebe = Double-Clutch-Gearbox)
while with other hand scrolling pages with iDrive knob and feeling and smelling the top quality of the new interior environment

this car will be awesome like no other BMW before

Agreed, much more resemblence to the 6 than the x6. Which is great thing. Can't wait to see this vehicle at the showroom.

I think these guys got it almost dead on in their renderings. The front and back look almost identical.
