I had several because they kept bending and getting tangled up.


Another fun one was the Frisbee:

A Frisbee, or flying disc, is a popular toy and sporting item. Its history dates back to the 19th century with college students throwing pie plates, which inspired Walter Morrison to invent the first plastic flying disc, the "Pluto Platter," in the 1950s. Wham-O bought the rights in 1955 and renamed it "Frisbee" in 1958, leading to its widespread success. Had a few of these as well because they kept getting lost.

Remember it well. Interesting that it was from 1960 and their use of the term "spaceman" in the article, because "astronaut" was not coined yet as no human had flown to space yet.....

On this day in 2004, Rodney Dangerfield died. He is interred in the Westwood Village Memorial Park Cemetery in Los Angeles. On the day of Dangerfield's death, the randomly selected Joke of the Day on his website happened to be "I tell ya I get no respect from anyone. I bought a cemetery plot. The guy said, 'There goes the neighborhood!'" This led his wife, Joan, to choose "There goes the neighborhood" as the epitaph on his headstone, which has become so well known that it has been used as a New York Times crossword puzzle clue.
