Wife and I had our J&j shot last week.

I felt fine for the most part. Wife was down with a fever for a day.

Well I'm in the last group of people to qualify for the shot but I suppose that is okay meaning I don't have any pressing health conditions that would render it more critical to accelerate the timing of vaccination. I'm also not old enough . I'm hoping the vaccinations will be available for my group sooner than later. Both of my parents got their shots and are relieved to have done it. They're still taking precautions even though they're vaccinated.

All bullshitting and jokes aside, I guess I'm getting my first shot this afternoon. A friend of mine owns a pharmacy and offered to get me in this afternoon for my first shot. I'll report back with my new found super-powers (Thanks Bill Gates!) next week.

For those interested in how this is NOT a flu shot, science very different. (most folks I have talked to thought it was similar science)this mRNA was ready January 2020 after 13 years of testing. Stay safe.

i have appointment in 10 day for vaccination.
based on the available data, if u live in a big city probability of dying of covid vs complications from the vaccine is close to 1000 to 1.
obviously this does not account for long term side effects for both.
my in-laws got vaccinated they did not feel anything.

Pharmacist here. Have given about 900-1,000 Moderna vaccinations so far.

Most people get sore arm, some people get headaches, mild body aches, and maybe mild fever and chills. Symptoms go away in a couple of days.

Haven't had anyone with a serious reaction. Some people developed a rash at or near the injection site. But that resolved on it's own in a few days.

I noticed younger people feel the side effects more. 65 and older usually don't experience anything other than a sore arm. Again this is just what I'm seeing and obviously there will be exceptions.

Haven't had anyone report to me that they got COVID after receiving the vaccine. I have had multiple people who got vaccinated from me tell me that post vaccination they were exposed to someone who had COVID but they did not get sick themselves.

I would much rather deal with the side effects of the vaccine than with COVID!

I had my two Pfizer vaccinations back in December/January. Absolutely 0 side effects, other than a tender spot at site of injection. But I've had some employees who experienced anything from feeling like they were getting the flu to being transported by ambulance to the hospital for a delayed severe lymph node and heart reaction (important note: they had known pre-existing conditions relating to those effects).

Most however had no adverse side effects.

I'm in the 50-60 age group but work for a healthcare company (which is why I got it so early).

Just had my 2nd shot. Getting it out here was a breeze. They've really got their shit together here. Now hopefully it's as painless, except for a minor sore arm, as the 1st one.

Will report more later.

How long did you feel the the soreness the first time? Sorry you probably already described it earlier in this thread.

I just hope that these new variants we keep hearing about will not render some of these vaccines to be less potent.

Arm was sore for a day or 2. Nothing bad. No worse than a flu shot. At least for me.

So far, no hospitalizations or deaths from the variants (when vaccinated), that I've heard of. And that's what matters.

Anybody hear different? Please let us know.

Our clinic has not yet received its allotment. To date, the Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna and AstraZeneca/COVISHIELD vaccines have been approved for use by Health Canada.

March roll-out is for patients 80 and over and administered at large Health Centers. Although as a nurse, I am on the priority list but will wait until June.

My wife and I received our 2nd shot (Pfizer) on the 10th of this month. Our reaction to both the 1st and 2nd shots was just a sore arm for a couple of days.
Our "get out of jail" date is March 24th and man, do I have a lot catching up to do! Both cars are past due for their annual service; routine dental cleaning is overdue; eyeball checkup is overdue and last, but not least, a real haircut!

And BTW, our county health department did a fantastic job organizing for the shots. It was very orderly. Not surprisingly, the 1st shot line was very long, so it took about 55 minutes to get through, including the mandatory observation time at the end. The 2nd shot line was short, so we were out of there in only 25 minutes. Both times, I made it a point to let all of the volunteers how much we appreciated them, plus the "behind the scenes" preparation.

Was supposed to get the first Moderna jab last week but realized my 2nd jab (28 days later) is when I'd be TDY. Will get it next week. For those that have already been vaccinated and travelled afterwards, do the nanites trip the metal detector at TSA checkpoints? Or does Bill Gates vouch for you if they do?

P.S.
2nd shot....28 days later?!.... that's the stuff of conspiracies! I saw the movie...I know what goes down...

Got a friend in the same boat. He got an excess vaccine shot at Walgreens and now has to try to arrange a second shot.
