Share your Covid vaccination experiences *** No Politics ***

Are you planning to or have you already been vaccinated? I received my first dose of the Pfizer vaccine a week ago and am starting to have side effects just now. Mostly cold symptoms and bad nausea for the past few days. I hope the 2nd shot won’t result in a worse reaction.
Please share your experiences.

I got my first Pfizer dose 3 days ago, my cell reception has improved and hopefully I'll have full bars by my second dose.

But seriously, only a sore arm.

My Kidney doctor has told me not to take it yet. Until further Chronic disease patients don't take it and results don't come back.

Plus, he wants me to take it at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, not Walgreens or CVS, etc. That way in case I get some sort of side effects, the Kidney doctor is there.

Got my first shot Wednesday. Entirely painless. No side effects at all.

I am officially being tracked by Bill Gates, second shot in a couple weeks. Only side affect was soreness at injection site, just like my flu shot. I got the Moderna vaccine.

I had my second Pfizer dose in the beginning of January. All I experienced was a soreness at the injection site that I would say was 25% more sore for two days than the Flu shot.

i was basically a week behind you on each jab and i had the exact same experiences with pfizer.

for reference, i've never had any issues with any vaccinations, including the full 5-jab anthrax series given to u.s. military members in the early 2000s.

edit: also, my wife works in healthcare and was among the first in our state to get vaccinated. she had the moderna vaccine and ended up feeling pretty crappy for about 18 hours after the second shot...headache & mild body aches, but otherwise no issues. she tends to feel crappy after flu shots as well, so her reaction to this covid jab was not unexpected.

Pfizer/BioNTech

First Shot. Sore arm.

Second shot. Tired/achy second night.

No biggie, please get the vaccine when you are able so we can end this shit and get back to normal.

Have any of you gotten it after already having covid? I had covid, and the people I know who also had it and got the shot had mixed reactions.

I got my 2nd shot of the Pfizer 2 weeks ago. Only had a sore arm for a day after each dose. A couple of the guys in my unit felt pretty rough for a day after the 2nd dose, but not many and not for more than a day or two.

I got both doses using Moderna. No side effects on the first dose, a day of moderate headache, no fever after second dose.

I’m over simplifying here and correct me if I’m wrong but the vaccine won’t stop you from getting Covid and spreading it but it fights the infection and helps you not get sick or worst die from it.

I haven't had the vaccine, don't believe it's even being offered to anyone but old people yet, however my friend in CA did get it (he works in a clinic) and he had already had covid. He seems to have had the same reaction as others in here. Sore arm on first one and mild flu like symptoms on second one. I think his wife who also had covid had worse symptoms on the second one.

Correct, it's meant to prevent you from becoming really sick from it, but it's still undetermined if you can spread the virus to others, hence why the CDC still advises to wear masks and distance.

Had the Covid, got the shot later. I have found that I can now see around corners. Kinda useful.

I know here in CT it will become available to people under 45 on April 5th, I know a few younger school staff, public safety, and healthcare workers that have gotten it.

Dammit, if I say yes, this is indicative that I had a problem. If I say no, indicative that I still have a problem. Can I say that I took the Zach Snyder shot and now my ED correction (as terrible as it was before) now lasts 4 hours?

I'm not getting it unless it gives me X-Ray vision on females ONLY!

In all seriousness, I have been working since day 1 and knock on wood have not had any issues. I am younger (but not young) and not eligible yet. There are plenty other people much more deserving than I am soooooo....I'm good for now.

I shouldn't say no side effects at all, I guess. I do have the same injection site soreness as others. Very mild, though. I got the Moderna shot.
