What about photoshopping the front wheel straight in number 4? That would help that shot. #2 seems too harsh. #3 and #1 look good.

these are just my thoughts, but you asked so here goes:

pic 1 - like the background...might be able to improve the composition by not centering the car. i would crop the top to get rid of the street lamp, extra sky, and the upper portion of the building lit with sunlight. my crop point would probably either be that black dot in the sky...or marginally lower to where the reflection in the window centered above the car transitions between building and sky.

pic 2 - like the detail in the buildings but a shot like this makes me wish it had a wider perspective to capture more on the right. not a fan of the sky...and not sure how i feel about whether the foreground adds or detracts from the overall composition.

pic 3 - like this composition the most...great subject positioning and background. only suggestion would be to maybe try and dial down the glare on the area around the corner of the taillight....and darken the area around the exhaust tips a bit.

pic 4 - interesting background...but the car is taking up too much space. overall this is my least favorite of the 4...maybe if it were a frontal shot with the car farther back.

hope that helps

#3 looks the best but I think #1 has the most potential to be a winner if you can re shoot it.

If you can, concentrate on the alley, using the leading lines that the street makes across the frame and like JaySpec say, don't let the car sit in the middle of the frame. I would also say use the back of the car instead of the front.

I like #1 just crop out some of the right side so it's not centered...just my opinion which don't mean much.

help me pic the best shot of my car for a contest

Is anyone entering the Take your Best Shot (takeyourbestshot.ca.) contest? What picture are you entering and where abouts is it located? The deadline is tomorrow (Wednesday) to enter your picture for this next week and voting starts on Thursday. When it first started I was able to vote for my own picture but it now does not allow it; so if you enter a picture let me know so I can vote for you. The details of my entry is in my siggie .

I'm really liking all of your photos; they have a unique style to them. If I had to choose one of them it would have to be 1.
