BTW what difference did you notice with the K&N air intake? Did you install it directly with the sec. cat replacement or did you do them one by one. Which difference did you notice from the one and the other?
I'm thinking of similar mods to my '10 Z4 35is which is now still stock, to make it sound a bit more. In the future I'll get custom software on it. |

![]() SKN Tuning have done a dyno test with the Milltek exhaust and it gave 13bhp and 19nm of torque extra on stock engine. They say that the cat deletion does the most of the power. I do also have the ESS Stage two, that give more power from the Milltek straight pipes.

I have thought about this mod for a while. The idea came after buying me the M-steeringwheel. When it arrived it was without the black panels around the multifunction buttons. So I had to use the silver high gloss panels that was fitted to my old steeringwheel. This looked a little strange because of the 3rd spoke being black. After checking price on these parts (Crazy), I decided to with a alcantara wrap that look even more nice than the original plastic black panels . The steeringwheel is not finished yet, I have a idea of how I could get the 3rd spoke to look nice
![]() This is the pictures so far: M steeringwheel vs sports steeringwheel This is how it looked like with the silver bits ![]() One down, one to go ![]() ![]() I had to grind the edges down a little to make space for the alcantara ![]() Two of Two ![]() How it`s wrapped ![]() One mounted ![]() Both mounted ![]() I will post more pictures when I do the 3rd spoke ![]()

After removing some parts last week, I have now sent them to be sprayed in a paintshop. The grills for the M bumper shall be Maserati grey after cutting the mesh away
![]() ![]() I bought a used rear M bumper with some painting problems. This one is also sent to be resprayed with some brand new 35is diffusers. The smallest diffuser will be Maserati grey as my brake calipers. ![]() I have already done the front parts of the rollover covers in alcantara. Here is two pics that show original vs alcantara. ![]() ![]() More pics will come when I have mounted those parts ![]()

I promised an update when my mod was finished and yes I finished my steering wheel yesterday
![]() I got the last alcantara piece trimmed with beige stitching to match my interior. Also the gear gaiter was custom made in alcantara with beige stitching. So this is now a little different steering wheel that I am very satisfied with ![]() Here`s the pics: This is the original lower spoke of the M steering wheel. ![]() I twisted off the original leather. ![]() Then I glued on the new alcantara piece and then the M badge. ![]() This is the result, but some bad quality pictures :| : ![]() ![]() ![]()

So then my rear bumper and some other parts came back from the paintshop. I wanted the 35is diffuser painted in Maserati colour to get it more visual.
Pics from the fitment: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Then i mounted my new bumper intake surroundings that are painted in the same Maserati colour: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I think the front bumper has a more Z4M feel now with the open intakes, but it was a big job to get these surroundings in a quality I was pleased with. Better pics will come ![]() After that I got the rollover covers mounted in car colour matching paint. But also the alcantara covers where mounted for the first time: ![]() ![]() ![]() And last the painted glossy black kidneys where mounted: ![]()
