New software for millions of BMW vehicles with the latest software upgrade

I did an OTA update in December to 07/2022.58 The digital key was upgraded from version 1 for Android phones to version 1.5 which supports digital keys for iPhones X? onwards It still does not work as I need the backend enabled in Munich. The software update also disabled my comfort access and my internal music hard drive I have managed to code the latter back but not CA. I wonder what this new OTA upgrade will disable next? Thankfully I have BimmerUtility to address these oversights from BMW

I did the software upgrade (idrive 7) in my G80 M3 and found if you don't lock the car when the update is installing and then drive after install, some functions will act weird (e.g. sport display would not change to road display). I had to lock and unlock after install to get everything back to normal. Although as mentioned by many, everything is back to default, annoying!

I’m going to be all carmudgeny get off my lawn and say that I can’t stand the age of doing software updates on my cars. And I’m in my 30’s.

I now have to spend a good 30 min in the car to re code everything I did with Bimmercode.

The only thing I actually enjoy in this thing is the TT V8. The tech can pound sand.

I am waiting for an update to the Watch app that will allow me to remote start from it. The watch app is pretty useless, but I would definitely use it for that.

So if I'm to understand correctly the new update is version 07/2022.58. However, in my brand new 2023 M3 Comp it's still saying no update is available (just checked in last 5 minutes) and it's showing it's current version as 07/2022.50. Any guesses as to why it's not being offered?

As in the past when BMW puts out a press release for a new software update, it gradually rolls out over weeks/months. It’s not immediate for every car nor every market.

Am in the same boat as you, perhaps they are the same version but differ if m3/m4?

May be in Wakanda . Remote Parking it’s a must in this century and size of cars

You need to re-enable remote start. Mine was disabled after the update.

Quick question after I updated 2022/7 patch on a 2022 G30 - I noticed that the vehicle no longer stores "temporary" settings after you end a drive. Previously when you end a drive and resume in like 15 mins (I don't know what's the exact time but there's definitely a buffer) and restart, the car stores any settings from last drive like drive mode, temperature, heated seats etc. Now whenever I restart it always start in default mode.

Does anyone notice this?
