Highlights from another awesome Chinese roadtrip

This time the destination was somewhere called Zhangjiajie in Hunan Province, China. A UNESCO world heritage site known from the Avatar movie.

I skipped the tourist hiking paths and found some very beautiful mountain roads instead. Absolutely among the very best driving roads I have ever visited in China.

Here are some photos I snapped with my phone:

A picture from Changsha City, Hunan Province. Do you think it is legal to drift going up on this road?

The car

2009 Z4 sDrive35i DCT
ESS Engine/DCT tune, stg2 (390hp / 550nm)
Low performance inexpensive nonRFT tires (because drifting...)
Miltek midpipes (secondary cat delete for a bit of extra noise)

Otherwise completely stock...

Still absolutely love the girl

What you see is just fog, mist and rain. While a huge problem all over China, it is not fair to use these pictures as indicators of polution. Zhangjiajie is notorius for being foggy, unlike Beijing, which is poluted all the time, and only foggy some of the time.

+1. The sky just looks depressing all the time. I'm in China a lot and I have to say, I haven't seen a clear sky for quite some time now.

I guess you could ps your pictures with the Geneva sky lol.

Putian cleared up a little bit after they banned the smalls engine bikes. I work with factories in Putian, Dongguan, and Wen Zhou. I hear WZ is the cleanest out of our group.
