2011 battery dead, locked out?
So, I've seen several threads on this, but none where you simply cannot open a door, even with the key. Only lock slot seems to be on the drivers side, and that will not open with the key in either remote.
G/F moved the car and the next day it was entirely dead, and now it doesn't seem that the car was designed to be able to access it with a dead battery. Not used to BMW making this bad of a design decision. Is there any other way to get in to try to charge the battery? |

The key fits and turns to unlock right? Do you see it unlocked looking in?
I am guessing that the resistance you are facing is due to the window not automatically lowering a little which it normally would do when you open the door if battery was alive. You should be able to just tug the door a little harder but carefully to force it open without damaging window. After you get in, pop the hood to hook up charger as the trunk will not open if you don't have power. |
