The model I'm looking at isn't anywhere near $30,000+range I don't think.
Actually I learned about deSede from the Porsche courtesy magazine Porsche Christophorus ( actually it might have been the IWC Watch Company magazine )
My mother had a very keen eye for beautiful furniture and decorating and now with pretty much just Baker left I felt that needing to replace a sofa in a room she decorated it would be proper to use a very good piece like deSede.

Sorry, wasn’t calling you snooty as I don’t even know you. Although I could see how my post can be interpreted that way. Was just surprised at how much some of their couches cost.

But their shit is solid. I've got an Amish backyard shed that's built better than my house

There is one store that I refuse to go into again because it does have some reaaaaaally nice stuff, unfortunately I don't feel like taking out a second mortgage for a dinning set.

There are others however that claim to be amish furniture but it's the same particle board crap you find anywhere just for twice the price. I'm good with my Biglots couch and my environmentally friendly recycled cardboard box TV stand and side tables.

Good find, I really appreciate you posting that. I think Roche Bobois made similar but that does look like deSede.

This is what I trying to price. To go with a room of century antiques

Cheap black pleather only. Don't want to ruin the nice furniture when conducting interviews for a new assistant.

Try Heartland Amish in Asheville. We bought some stuff for our condo there. Solid wood and many choices. Definitely not Rooms to Go pricing but also not crazy expensive and I believe they ship.

My wife is an interior designer and architect. I asked her about the couch and she said her firm works with DeSede and she might be able to help you out if needed.... Where are you located and are you looking for that exact piece or something period correct with similar lines?

So coincidental, I was going to post just this scenario.

Vaguely recall over the years DSR Design Within Reach offering similar to this deSede pretty sure I want the deSede KT 221 03 or 02.

Could U ask your wife her opinion of the quality of the sofa the weight the filling ?

Thanks
Scott

She knows the brand from other units and can vouch for the quality and materials. She doesn't have first hand experience with either specific unit but her assumption is very very stiff with little give in the cushion. More athletically appealing then comfortable and more of art piece then tv and relaxation worthy. Heavy stiff fill with defined seams on fabric
