Good BMW mechanic in the Socal area

Hi all,

Just got a '12 z4 35i and was wondering if anyone here could recommend a good mechanic in the LA area, preferably in the valley.

Was thinking of swapping the mufflers, in the future oil changes/maintenance...

Thanks!

Are you looking for an independent mechanic? or a decent dealership? I was always satisfied,,,as much as one can be with Bob Smith in Calabasas, but since I am over 50k now, I will be doing most of it myself. As for oil changes, I do mine at 7500 anyways, and let the stealership do the 15k one. These cars aren't very hard to work on, so far I have changed coil packs, brakes, oil, and next up is walnut blasting my intake, just waiting on the tool.

And indy would be best, yeah. I bought my car CPO from Bob Smith, but the maintenance is gonna go away in 5 months. I've never done any mechanical work so I'd rather not do something that can potentially screw up the car.

How much do they charge for an oil change for the Z?

I also want to potentially have somebody do the exhaust...

I am not sure what they are charging, I had them do the 15k free ones up until 50k, I would change it myself every 7500, so I cut the recommended oilchange intervals in half, and now that I am out of warranty on the free maintenance, I will be doing the rest myself.

You may want to give a quick call over to Burger Motorsports, they are in Simi, a tuner shop, they may have a good recommendation on an indy Mech for ya

I go to Richard from RTMotorworks in Arcadia since I live in SGV.

10 W Live Oak Ave #C
Arcadia, California
(626) 623-6378
www.facebook.com/RTMotorworks

Richard, himself, owns 3 older gen BMWs totalling 500k miles, which he takes on road trips..i think that says enough about his work. If you have any questions, PM me and I'll reply back
