The sole Jaguar XJ13 was built in 1966 for Le Mans but never raced. It was powered by a 5-liter DOHC V-12 of 502 horsepower. The suspension was derived from that of the E type.

A recent "for sale" posting at Ferrarichat.com is this 612 Scaglietti 2+2 coupe. This car was manufactured in 2007 and has 22,577 miles on it. The paint is Grigio Silverstone and the interior is Cuoio (Ferrari's version of saddle). The car has the F1 transmission similar to BMW's sequential manual gearbox and is equipped with 20-inch Challenge wheels.
This Scaglietti is located in San Diego, California, and the asking price is $119,500. Ferrari 2+2s are the most attainable Ferraris; despite being quite expensive when new (see window sticker) they depreciate more than the more sporting models. While a 612 Scaglietti is in some ways my dream car and I have drooled over Ferraris for decades, I would still not own one. The running costs are simply too expensive. This one stopped me in my tracks, though. I am about to put my 15-acre rural property up for sale and am thinking about selling my M3 and buying an M850i for, you guessed it, about $120,000. Owning a new BMW versus a 15-year-old Ferrari is an entirely different proposition, though! All that said, this is a beautiful car!

We spent the weekend with the Radnor Concours. Did the road rally Saturday and the Concours show on Sunday. The weather Sunday was absolutely perfect, so the car club turn out was impressive and the Concours was well attended.
Some random pics from the weekend. The 550 spyder is the one that sold at Bonhams Amelia Island in 2022 and is owned by a very nice German couple. they participated in the rally (about 75 miles on mostly back roads), it was great to see a 550 zipping around the countryside. The Irish Green GT3T was interesting because the owner had the rear seats added back in with matching blue/green tartan and then had a child car seat custom clothed in the same fabric. It was pretty cute. It was definitely an Irish Green day. In addition to the GT3T, there was a 996 GT2, a 992 Targa, a 1970 911 Targa, another old 911 soft window targa and 3x 356s all in the same color. The Regera was pretty wild... just soooooo much Carbon fiber. It's owned locally in South East PA. Its funny how quickly all of the other cars 'supercars' seem pedestrian when a Koenigsegg rolls in and parks next to you. the show itself was primarily focused on pre-war British cars, but had some other good stuff too. The 1924 Silver Ghost was a behemoth. I just liked the matching luggage set on the DB5 (the interior was the same green leather). The Ferrari 275 was pretty. That is the new Reveulto reflecting in the door of the Countach. The baker electric was 1 of 2 in existence. It was interesting to learn from the owner that they were primarily designed for women drivers in the city who wouldn't want to get their hands dirty with oils, gas, etc. Back when they came out they had the batteries on racks so you could pull into a service center and swap out the rack for a fully charged set. I dug the brass elements of the 1913 Locomobile. + other random shots. Last edited by Josh-PA; 09-09-2024 at 09:40 AM.. |

Rare Z8 roadster in the wild at a BMW CCA regional show- Motorfest with the Oregon chapter. The largest private car museum in the world is 15 miles away in Salem and also has a Z8, putting two of these within rare close proximity to each other. Would you believe I am not a professional photographer?

Silverstone is very nice but for me, give me blue or red. Tour de France Blue is probably my favorite. "Resale Red" is always a winner with Ferrari. Some statistics: Total production for the 612 Scaglietti was 3,025 cars. 199 of those had manual transmissions. About 600 612s came to the USA. The rare manual transmission cars are now worth several times as much as the F1 cars, despite the fact that the F1 sequential transmission was an almost-mandatory $12,000 option when the cars were new.

The Diavel has had a few "unique" versions over the years. Check out my cousin's AMG Version of the diavel. Far right bike, of course.

The wheels in that photo look like the factory wheels for the Z8 to me. I think they fit the car well keeping in mind we are talking about a 20+ year old car. Like car bodies, wheel design has evolved too.

He was providing example of factory wheel as contrast to the one in the post quoted. If you go to top of this same page and look at pics of the Z8 you can see the other wheels on the other car to which he refers.

1951 Maserati A6G 2000 roadster with body by Frua.
The A6G 2000s had straight sixes of 2 liters and were produced from 1947 to 1956.

Let's say that you're driving along a dark two-lane road at night with little traffic when you encounter this bus headed in the opposite direction. #%$&#!
