Convertible top slams when closing
This question has been asked in some variation in the past, but no one has provided a definitive resolution.
When closing the top, the rear window section slams shut. Not slams where it would crack the window, just worryingly slams. No other issues going up or down. A couple of months back the hydraulic motor was replaced at the dealer (warrantied). My question is can the speed or rate of closure be adjusted or slowed down a bit? I've read it could be the shocks that need replacing, but we're talking about the last moment where the top hits the deck, and to me sounds like a speed regulation issue rather than a shock issue. I'm probably wrong. Anyone found a resolution to this. Cheers. |

I was in the same situation as you before, replacing the hydraulic top rod of the convertible can solve the problem, but this task cannot be completed by oneself as it requires specialized tools
