n52b25 oil consumption after 2010 year

I'm planning to buy a z4 e89 with n52b25 but recently found out about the oil consumption problem.

I found some articles that say the problem was solved after 2010 with the new piston rings.

Can someone share their experience with n52b25 produced after 2010 year?

I’m not sure where that fact came from ..a friend has a 23i E89 with the N52 motor at 150k miles..it burns a litre every 5k miles ..well within spec..
