Since when do riding mowers have a better steering wheel than your track toy?
Listing: https://amzn.to/3TOSJ8x Check the listings pictures #2 and #7. The steering wheel looks like it comes from a BAC Mono.

Nice Barn. Mine is just a lowly 318 and 332 funny because I had on 318Ti that became a 332Ti power steering and dual braking made it near zero turn in the 80 and 90's. Not mine but but mine looks like that in the spring for tilling. I am looking for a 44 loader for it.

My dad kept everything spotless. He bought a new Ferris a few years before he passed, as mowing (he had a farm and mowed a lot) was his "thing". When he died, he willed his mower to his younger neighbor who helped him with a lot of things over the years and always liked his mower - but didn't have the cash to buy one.
I think about this a lot when I have to mow the ditch with the $800 used craftsman we leave out there while I see him sailing across his yard on that beautiful Ferris! He deserved it though and loves it to death, so makes me smile.

This is my favorite mower I have right now. Price is insane but perfect for those small lawns.
Those Ego mowers are pretty sweet, I hope someday soon commercial electric mowers won't cost $35k. That Ego steering wheel is sick, looks like something from a racing sim. |

Three electric motors to drive the deck blades? Think probably weighs about what my 318 weighs 850 lbs dry no deck. I also have a single stage blower and a 2 stage for deep snow but heck we had less than 20 inches this year.
It's funny most people would rather have a lawn service come and do their lawns then have to mow it. |

Jealous of how much you’ve pushed that n52. I’m at 145k minus its obvious upkeep and stupid ass problems( regulators, steering wheel lock failure) its runs so good. Honestly like it better than the f80. Why I don’t know. It wanted oil recently and it took me 3 weeks to get the hood open cuz the passenger side hood was stuck |

Honestly, that's a pretty good price for that mower. My self propelled ego was just under a grand.
That said, that's a weird way to control a zero turn. Looks like you switch it forward and reverse with the paddles? I think I'd rather the dual handlebars like a normal ZTR. |

I'm more convinced that the OPE companies see moves made in crazy land California and other blue states to ban small motors as an existential threat, and so they're throwing everything they have at battery equipment. It's also a convenient way to get add on sales, because unlike gas equipment, you get locked into a battery platform. And when your battery fails to charge as much in a few years, you're gonna buy another battery vs starting over with all new equipment, whereas with a gas equivalent you could replace that one piece. So it only makes business sense for them to try to make the battery stuff the price winner up front. And since it's a whole lot easier to swap a battery mid mow than mid road trip, it's a lot easier to make it work for more consumers than EVs. I'm convinced this is the playbook for EVs though. They will raise the prices on ICE vehicles to offset EV losses until the EVs are cheaper, and then people will start buying the EVs. It's already happening with f150 and lightning. They threw $15k on the hood and made them cheaper than a gas f150, sales of it spiked. The auto industry will price ICE vehicles out of competition, and we will be forced into EVs. Toyota might screw it up for them by going big on hybrids, but if the EPA keeps at its nonsense they'll just make it impossible to not sell EVs only. |

I thought they were all $100-200 and very good ones are $300. Now I find out they are all $300-400 and goo ones are $5k lol

Don't know if a 20% undercut matters, but...

Based on the highly unscientific toddler test, I'm thinking your better to spend the 20% more on one better than that. Bummer post, come for the BMWs, stay for the incredibly surface level reviews of lawn equipment, lol. |
