Saw an orange one with purple stripes this morning. Nearly any other combo would be better.

Meh. Costs more than Ferarri 488 GTB. Not as fun as Ferarri 488 GTB.

Hard pass.

If I had the cash, I'd go with a Ferrari 488 GTB too. Or a 'normal' GT3. 9K rpms...

Yup. But alas, I don't have the cash, lol.

I have driven, at length and in a spirited way, the Ferrari 458 and a 991.1 Turbo S Cab. The Turbo S was certainly faster off the line, but there was no comparison between it and thee Ferrari. It would not even be a decision I would have to think about. Ferrari all the way.

Currently working on obtaining funds to grab a nice 360. Cannot wait.
Better choice than mine. I'd been saving for a 550 or 575, but the price of manuals has gone absolutely bonkers. You can buy an F1 transmission for relative peanuts, but that holds no interest for me.

Me neither, lol. In Belgium, it is not affordable... Taxes are ridiculous and petrol very expensive.

I've driven a 430 once, on track. That was a hell of a lot of fun. Big fan of Ferrari, there's much more passion to it than Porsche.

Yep - I have consigned myself to the fact that as much as I want the 360 in a manual, it will probably not be a realistic option for me due to cost. That flat plane V8 wail still sounds the same with the F1 tranny, so I will likely have to make due with that on the 360 in order to achieve this goal before retirement, lol. Almost a 30,000 price difference on the 360.

That color is seriously hot AF!!! Saw a 911 TURBO in this color with black wheels and pano roof. Sec on Wheels no doubt. This car also looks great. But nowhere near the curbside appeal of say Ferrari or McLaren for that amount of cash.

TBH I have no desire for anything more outlandish than this, even this is too much attention TBH. Take these colours and do me a GTS and i'm happy, can be driven without gawkers at least.

GT3 Touring is the route I'd take, in Gulf Blue. But Miami and Mexico are both great too.

But you haven't like, driven a 991.2 GT3 RS and a 488?

Because I've driven a 488 and .2 GT3 non-RS, and I wholly disagree with your assessment. Also, it does not cost more than a 488.

My 488 was $115K more than my GT3RS. You will not be able to buy a new 488 for $260K. Please stop talking.

I just went back and looked through your other posts. The bulk of your posts are condensing and rude. You are either full of shit or living on daddy's money. As such, your opinion is worthless.

Dude come on.

GT3 RS: Starts at $187k
488 GTB: Starts at $244k

Sure, almost no one orders these as strippers but you're talking a $57k starting difference. It's asinine to say it costs less than a GTB.

And before we get started on the markup conversations, the GT3 RS CAN be had at MSRP albeit difficulty. But let's say hypothetically you can't find one for MSRP...the average markup is about $25k right now. Which is still $32k less than the starting point of a 488. Those aren't subjective figures, that's coming from months of tracking the market looking to possibly make a purchase.

I'm not arguing that I wouldn't take the 488 over the GT3, but at least use correct facts and figures.

Lighten up, Francis.

A) My choice is the Ferrari and I think it's a better option. Doesn't make me or you wrong, we just have different opinions.

B) It is more expensive. You're gonna pay at least $290K for a GT3 RS. The 488 is about $260K and discounts are to be had these days.
He didn’t seem spun up at all. You’re preemptively defensive for no reason. Also, a turbo s is not at all comparable to a gt3 rs. That’s not an opinion, it’s a fact.

I enjoy the appreciation for Porsche on this forum. I was considering a Miami blue 991.2 turbo s. Was missing a couple of options I wanted. Thinking a 991.1 will be the route I go until I see how the new 992s are.

I have yet to drive a Ferrari love the looks and sounds and I'm sure I'd love the drive. But it's hard to ignore the reliability and every day useableness of a 911 (I'd use mine in the rain).

If I only wanted a weekend car or if I didn't care about getting too much attention (not my thing). Maybe one day. For now Porsche has my heart and wallet.

I cannot argue with this. As a daily driver, the Porsche would obviously be the better choice. I would assume, however, that a GT3 RS would be used as a daily for about as many people as the 488 would be, lol.

But yes, if it was my only car - I would certainly take a Porsche over a Ferrari. I'm so in love with the Ferrari, however, that I would prefer to grab an econo-box and the Ferrari over the same amount of combined money for the Porsche, just to have one. I've driven a lot of Porsche's (although never a GT car), and while they are nice, I just have a hard time really being in love with them.

Holds its value better than a 488 GTB, doesn’t break like a 488 GTB.
