It's all about weight savings and power to weight or even hp per cylinder / weight.

So far 3655 is the number to beat ?

How much weight do we think can be ‘comfortably’ shed to put it at a refinement level similar to CS/L’s previously

I wish for 2890 or lighter
but...I'm not being realistic to what they'll most likely build us.

If they can shed 200 lbs of the regular car its going to be almost a miracle and anyways its going to look good to the general public so they will just stop there.

There are quite a few weight measures between regular m235/m240i and M2. Some parts cost more but they save money off some others for sure.

I would love that too
That would shock everyone. Lol
More realistic 3300lbs

I think that's the key point everyone is missing too. We're complaining about buying a base M3 or a Competition car and the CSL is then released. People act like it's some $3k add on from the old ZCP packages.

Based on the GTS experience, we're looking at a car that's easily in the $140k range. Literally twice the price as a base M3.

At that price, I'll let the forums melt down over this, as there are so many more options at that price range and I'll take my money elsewhere.

I'm hoping for i3 type curb weights and materials in unibody doors and dash.

Even the legendary E46 M3 CSL is over 3k lbs
At 3085lbs un modified unfueled and empty.

Consider a McClarens power and weight
and then power to weight ratio

Gotta go on a serious diet guys...
the original 1972 CSL "just" beats it out... by only a few pounds.
