Service and Repair Manual For e89

Looking for a set of shop manuals for the e89 covering the drive train, suspension, body, wiring, interior, etc. Something like the shop manuals sold by domestic car manufacturers years back. Recommendations?

Since Congress allowed the long standing "Right to Repair" laws expire between 2008 and 2009, Auto manufactures have not had to supply repair or any other documentation on their products. Bentley Publishing used to be the cornerstone repair manuals for all BMWs prior to Right to Repair expiring. Now, as you must know, repair manuals are scarce on almost every car made, and expect it to get worse. When, and if the U.S. transitions to all electric cars, you'll not even be able to open the hood, let alone repair anything, even change a light bulb. I suggest you keep checking all the forums for information, and ask questions of other owners about their repairs, and symptoms of a failure. People from other countries don't follow the same rules as the U.S. so they become a wealth of information about their cars. If you start to get close to some vital U.S. information, you get a page that says "This information is forbidden" by none other BMW NA. It then sends you to a pay site for information. Good Luck.

Thanks Surfwooder for the insightful information. Great to know our senate/congress is always looking out for their constituents. Not that I can service/repair today's sophisticated drivetrains, but it's nice to know how things work, while still fixing the small stuff.
