You guys taking the risk to start heading to the gym again? I'm tired of watching my arms get smaller and gut get larger during this pandemic. It's not like I've changed my diet, just my body fat has started redistributing since I'm not lifting.

But the gym probably has the highest risk of exposure anywhere. I've flown several times and felt that was a lower risk.

Mine opened back up on June 1st. After 3 months out of the gym, I've only missed one day/week. Luckily the fear is keeping most other gym goers at home. The most people I've seen in the gym in the past month was maybe 10-12. The later I go, the better/less crowded it is.

24 reopened where I live and they're doing online booking, only allowing 30 people in for each hour slot. I'll probably just go through with it. I deal with sick patients at work already.

My World has been less than 50% rate of people showing up. I'm blessed to have a "muscle Beach" outside so I go out there most times. Hardly anyone wears any face covering, but everyone is being meticulous with wiping down the equipment after use, even dumbbells. Everything is well spaced out.

My biggest complaint is that they closed the water fountains.

The last time they closed gyms I was able to get a few dumbbells before all the stores sold out of equipment. Not much, but better than nothing. My gym opened back up May 18th and I started going back at ~6am ish. Luckily I belong to a private gym, so there were maybe 6-10 guys in the entire free weight area, and everyone social distanced, wiped down equipment, etc. Felt pretty safe and was really good to be back in the routine.

About a week or so ago I noticed that some equipment was available again online, so I bought a squat rack, bench, bar, and some bumper plates (plates selection was spotty but was able to get enough except for heavy squats/deads). They all arrived this weekend. Just in time perhaps – they just closed bars and scaled back restaurants this past week. If gyms are next, I will actually be prepared this time!

Nice back/tri last night. Nothing overwhelming in weight, but got thru six sets on everything.

As I was leaving the house, wife says"Enjoy it while you can, before they close them down again"

SHHHHHH!!!!!!!

Not funny to joke about! Going to be upset if they close again, of course I understand the reasoning, but still!

I go around 3:30am...so no one there to worry about. Very meticulous about wiping stuff down...but I was like that before all this started.

I'm not at my gym quite that early, there at 5am. Usually just 1-2 other people in the gym at that time. Everyone there is very courteous about wiping equipment down, best I've ever seen in any gyms I've been a member of.

Lifted shoulders/triceps this morning. Finished up with a couple miles running and then abs. Weighed myself the other day, was already back down to around 182 from around 187 last week. We will see how long that stays off with the holiday weekend on the horizon haha.

On a solid streak of working out right now. Have been able to get a solid workout in 13 of the last 14 days. Took yesterday off, but still hit the beach with the dogs so got some light cardio in. This morning was back/triceps. Planning to keep lowering my calories throughout the week just experimenting with how I want to look for the wedding. About 2.5 months out, so it is about crunch time for me!

Monday I hit the work gym because I had a swing shift. Tuesday I ran. Last night I went back to the gym and NOW masks are required. "Help us stay open, wear your mask"

I don't think they meant around your chin, but I wasn't going to report anyone to the front desk.

Those versa-grips are the best thing I have ever found. Decent amount of weight/reps on back work last night, and this morning I had no issues controlling my motorcycle on the way to work

Guys, I need help! I’m thinking about getting some home equipment since the gym has been closed for so long.

I’m thinking about some stuff including:
Cybex bravo pro
Cybex smith machine

I can’t find any information regarding discounts online. How much is a reasonable discount to be asking for? Thanks a lot!

Went back up to PA over the weekend. Didn't get to workout Friday-Sunday, but was fairly active. Played some golf and all that. Haven't had an appetite the last few days, most likely due to have much I was drinking. Weighed in at 177.8lbs on Saturday, that kinda pissed me off. I know I should be roughly 5lbs heavier then that, and I barely ate anything yesterday so I doubt that helped any. I'll get my diet dialed back in through this week, hopefully I can put some of that weight back on relatively quickly!
