In that case, the one who maintains high boost longer is faster. It's simple logic. Therefor the tuned wins.

And over time breaks something? I think there is a reason BMW limits the overboost to 7 seconds at a time.

The boost isnt always the main factor in HP and how fast two identical cars are. Different timing in example @ the same boost gives you different power curves etc.

You also have to understand other variances, such as timing, waste gate duty cycle etc. my tuned 3.5is is noticeably faster than stock.
