That's fair, Lexus design is usually love it or hate it. It's all preference. The F30 was obviously a cleaner, more traditionally German design. The Lexus IS obviously Japanese.

I think the G20 looks as Japanese as a Lexus does, though.... in an Acura way. Not a fan of the creases on the G20 with no rhyme or reason to them. Funny because I LOVE the G30 and they're fairly similar designs overall.

You must be kidding!. Tesla does have the cool huge screen in the middle, but functionality is haphazard. If the screen is inoperable for some reason (and this is not an uncommon occurrence), you can't do much except drive the car because HVAC, radio, steering effort adjustments,... are inaccessible. No Apple carplay or Android auto. TuneIn, Slacker are half baked. Speaking from personal experience as I've driven my friends' 2017 Model S, and 2018 Model 3 extensively.

A regular 3 series is as much of an appliance as a regular IS. The IS will be more reliable and trouble free and most likely have better resale.

IMO this is as boring and appliance like as it gets:

I LOVE my BMWs, but if i was in the market for a bland commuter(im not), i would go for the lexus over a base model 3 series. would spend alot less time being serviced, and resale probably better as well.

again, if i was in the market for a commuter bucket. I happily DD my e90m3.

At least the Lexus drives like it wants to provide entertainment. Stupid F30 requires a ton of button punches before it will even begin to think of being remotely fun.
