It is an option on Z4s so I presume it will happen on all models. I would guess it will be there on 35is versions as well - cant see why not.

Godius I will be interested to see what BMW say to you. Cheers.

Can any 35is owner confirm that please.
I still think the problem is on Non-35is cars!!!

I've driven under the circumstances the OP describes (low speed, top down, built up area) so the sound can bounce back and I haven't heard anything yet.

I have the same problem.

Adaptive suspension with squeaks.

However, I feel mine is on the rear suspensions.

Only when I am going over bumps or speed regulating strips.

I was talking with my dealer recently and they said they had had another Z4 with adaptive suspension in with the owner complaining of the same squeeks. Seems to be a common issue. If anything mine has got worse over the past year. Its worse with higher climate tempertatures as well.

Does anyone who have the 35is hear this squeak??

No squeaks here

One of the earliest posts said that the squeaking is less when changing from sport to sport+ Why would that be? I thought changing to sport+ had no further effect on the dampers compared to sport, but simply affected the stability or traction control setting.

On our car Sport+ seems to make the dampers a lot stiffer than Sport. That would limit the suspension movement.

Plenty of other issues, but no squeaks on my adaptive 35i. If it's just a squeak, consider yourself lucky compared to some of us!

Ooh where to start.. New exhaust due to a baffle issue, new rear windscreen due to the heated element failing, cracked 296s, HPFP failure, rattles from the dash (still unresolved), new rear lamp clusters due to water ingress, badly worn tyres due to wheel cracks, folding roof realignment.. There's likely more I just can't remember it all. I figure it was built at 4.30 on a Friday!

Going to look at a merc e class coupe this weekend, my love for this car has been strangled, stabbed, shot and trampled on!

Is this problem solved? I was doing a search for something different and ran into this topic. I have the squeaks when driving in the exact same circumstances, doesn't bother me that much, but now I'm curious if any of you got it fixed?

Still squeeks, just ignore them now. Just a 'characteristic', would prefer it didnt have such a characteeristic though! Definitely gets worse the warmer the air temp.

Thanks, well it doesn't bother me that much, as you have to listen real good. When the car is at the dealer at some point I might ask them to have a look at the rubber bushes. I must say that I really like the adaptive suspension though

I have a rear squeak as well. I just took it into the dealership and had them look into it.

According to them my rear/driver side shock is damaged. Unsurprisingly, the wheel on that corner (ahem 196 style) is cracked as well. They are claiming road damage, and that I'm responsible for $1,800 worth of repairs. =\

Thank God that i just read this thread! I have been gagging to own a 35is with adaptive suspension as i feel my 35i is a little soft on turn in. What i don't want is another squeak!

Who can argue with logic like that? Thousands of 35i adaptive suspension vehicles out there and 3 or 4 have a squeak? Horrifying.

I have a 35i with Adaptive Suspension here in the UK. No Squeaks. A few interior rattles from our crappy UK roads, but suspension is fine.

You have to listen real well to hear it even with the top down, so I wouldn't worry about it. I think the adaptive suspension is a great option, love mine
