Navigation update & Warranty

Dears,
this is my first post and I am actually new to BMW in general.
I own a Z4 under warranty and planning to install 2020 map update which I already purchased from eBay.

I just wanted to know if this will void my car warranty or it is safe to proceed with the update.

I think you'll find differing opinions on this but I'm quite certain that warranty issues only can come up with the specific system you are working with and even then you would really have to mess things up. (If you screw up the navigation system by installing a non approved BMW product, your warranty may not cover it).

It will not however void anything that the navigation system doesn't touch such as drive train.

U.S. warranty laws do not apply to Abu Dhabi. You need to contact your local BMW dealer and ask them.
