Next year we are going to be right back at it. You think the Bay Area fans actually see the Hawks as rivals now or do we still have to 'win something' first?

Rivals happen over time. For me personally it's not a rival whether you win or lose. But it's certainly headed down that road with as many time as we will play each other over the next years. For now I view them as great games to watch. Many may see it as a rivalry cuz the teams are so evenly matched

The 2 best teams in the NFC, in the same division no less.... I can tell you, from a Seattle perspective, it already is a rivalry.

The Cowboys-Redskins are a rivalry. The Yankees-Red Sox are a rivalry. Celtics-Lakers.

Yes, those are Classic celebrated rivalries. Two teams can still have have a healthy rivalry without being historic, yet.

Ya, but it's not about whether or not they are good, it's about not liking each other and thriving on it.
We have a cross state College FB rivalry between The University of Washington and the Cow Herders of Washington State. Neither team has been consistently good for years but when it comes to the annual Apple Cup you can throw records out. If you only win one game and it's the apple cup then your season is somewhat redeemed. UW holds a 68-32 record in the cup but that doesn't make it any less compelling for either team.

As a Niner fan, I think that throw was really stupid and a function of Kap's inexperience in the NFL. When he saw (I assume he saw) the coverage on Crabtree, the better play would have been to run, throw it away or just fall down and try it again on 2nd, 3rd and/or 4th down.

There were lots of other "mistakes" made by the Niners in the game but, fact is, the Niners "could" have won the game and gone on to the SB, if they just scored a TD & point after on that drive. The Kap and Niners have no one else to blame but themselves for failing to do that in the end, which makes it extremely frustrating for the team and their fans.

kap does make a few boneheaded plays aka the pick to chancellor and the idea to throw the fade against sherm. but he does make a few sensational plays like the 58 yard run and the td to boldin. Didnt even realize that he was in the middle of jumping when he threw the ball. Hes a physical beast that just needs to learn how to use a little touch and throw with some finesse as well. Something wilson is really good at

You can keep your UW football team. I would rather have a degree from WSU than UW any day
