Are there specific DPs for N54 Z4s?

Can I pick up any N54 DP for my 35i? I couldn't find anything concrete on if I could. Some vendors have Z4 specific page listings, while others just say N54. I 'think' I saw something about the exhaust not lining up perfectly?

Thanks in advance

335-535-Z4 all have different bends on the DP's.

There are several members on the UK z4 forums that also have these for half the price, noting but good review so far.

I have these as well.

I changed one of the bolts in the engine mount to a shorter head hex bolt to get just a bit more clearance.

I also have the VRSF. Quality seems quite good, especially for the price. Fitting is tight, but this is true of all the DP's on the Z4 as I understand it. I've had them for about 2k miles and report no issues to date.

How long of a DIY job is it to install DPs? I'd like to get them but I'd need to be able to swap the cats back in a reasonable amount of time when my smog check is due if I do... If it takes too long it might be worth the extra expense of getting catted DPs instead.

Hard to estimate someone else's DIY skills of course.

After the first time doing it, I can get mine swapped now in about 1.5 hours I guess.

Those dang v clamps are the slow bit when putting it back together and the O2 sensors are annoying.

Do you have to swap them if you run a DP fix?

If they can be seen during the visual inspection yeah. Which honestly I'm not sure if they can be or not...

Well the bottom is covered, and the top, the motor is slanted, and there is a heat shield.

Guys. I mentioned this in a previous thred. The 335i downpipes fit the z4. All you need to do is get any exhaust shop to cut the flanges of your car exhaust and rotate them a little to fit the downpipes.
