Airbag light after new battery

I put in a new battery yesterday and now have the airbag and passenger restraint light on. The code is 0093b on the Carly. I believe it might have to do with the little plug that goes to the sbt. Does anyone know if the plug is available or repairable? Or could it be the sbt itself? The car starts and runs good, just the code and lights.

Did you register the battery with the ECU?

This does not apply to the problem described.

It is a good reminder to get the registration done but has no bearing on this problem.

Yes it's registered. Does anyone know how to troubleshoot the sbt?

Update: fixed
After lots of online searching, I found a thread that addressed my issue. Apparently there's two shorting tabs in the SBT that needed to be rebent slightly so that when the SRS plug is inserted, the shorting tabs are moved away from the two pins within.

It's the least I could do that might help someone else out. I just feel so slighted when a problem occurs to someone and it ends with no solution or outcome.
