roof interior upholstery .... black vs white
would any z4 roadster owner kindly post some pics of the roof interior upholstery in black and also in white ? I'm surely going for the deep sea blue with the nappa white interior but I'm considering a black colour roof upholstery as I'm quite tall (6ft 1) and I think white would easily get dirty. Also, what material is it made from ? leather ? thanks for your replies

It's some kind of fabric and no leather. I have the pure with design with a black roof.
With a black roof it's feels like the cabin is smaller and with white you get a more spacious look. |

Standard is sort of light beige coloured stone grey... difficult to describe!

Damn that interior roofing is ugly...
It should be black. |

thank you very much for the pic and info. Just as I thought ... if you look well on the very edge of the roof just above the first seat seen in the pic there is already a black smudge. I'll go for black then.
One other query ... in the forum I've been reading "roof liner" as one of the available extras ... what exactly is it ? is it just the roof colour or is it something else ? |

I think the smudge you are referring to is actually a rounded indentation on the roof. Both sides have this.
To be honest, I'm not worried about the interior of the roof getting dirty as I don't think it will. The panels don't actually touch each other when they fold into the boot.

I'm just 6ft, but was amazed about the headspace (I was used to S2000 and XC90 headspace, I wonder if you are wearing a hat in your Z4 ;-)

I had a quick peek at the US configurator and can't find the option either. Maybe it comes standard in US configurations depending on the interior colour or it can't be ordered (which would suck). I guess you will have to ask your dealer (or somebody else here from the US needs to answer this). |

New 35i with ivory white extended leather
I could not resist the ivory white leather interior with the deep sea blue exterior. I have had the new Z for one week, and put 1,700 miles on it
While I love the look of the interior, I kind of wish I went for a darker color as I feel that I have to be so careful to not stain the white leather and (immitation) suede. I have to add . . . the car is AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!! |
