Low beams aimed down...
Coming home tonight I notice the low beams were pointing directly in front of the car, far lower than normal. High beams seemed to work normally, but there was nothing I could do (including several restarts and playing with the rotary light switch, to get the lows to move up to where they were useful. Any ideas what may be causing this?

Very common problem. See this thread: https://e89.zpost.com/forums/showthr...&highlight=aim
The sensor gets hung up. It is an easy fix - might have to search a bit for it. |

I found that thread last night using search. It seems there are two sensors. One in a front wheel well and one one the rear with the rear being the one that causes the problem. Is that your understanding? Which side is it on?

File a safety report on the web site https://www-odi.nhtsa.dot.gov/VehicleComplaint/
Mine has been replaced and it still does it. This needs a redesign badly because at night when this happens, you're in trouble. Can't see hardly 30' in front of the car. |
