What stroller should I bring? Alaskan Cruise.

Going on an Alaskan Cruise from Vancouver in a few weeks. Flying from NY to Vancouver first. Bringing my 18month old with me.

What stroller should I bring? Umbrella stroller, or the full size stroller?

Any other M3-ers have experience in this? I like going around with the full size (easier to push, more storage, etc) but it can be bulky - barely fits in my e92!

I Gotta factor in airport travel, checking in, etc too.

Never been on a cruise but traveled to the UK and Europe with both boys when they were around 6 months old. Not sure how large the cruise ship is but we always used a good quality umbrella stroller during our travels. The full-size stroller is simply too bulky for maneuvering through airports and sidewalks full of people. For things you usually carry in the stroller, get a good back pack...

Bought and used the GB Qbit umbrella stroller. Folds up ridiculously small and takes car seats. Considering how small some of the cabins are it was worth it.

Thanks guys! I guess I knew to bring the umbrella, but I wanted to bring the big boy.

Was hoping for some justification lol.. but umbrella it is!

We have 3 for our 13 month old, the 3 wheeled bigwheel, a big normal one and a light one that folds like an umbrella or something. Im sure there are better names for them, im just the mule that carries these things about.
Anyway, I would hate to take the light one knowing the wife will have me packed down with shopping, and you never know what kind of terrain you will encounter. I would take my normal one, most storage, bigger wheels than the umbrella foldy one.

Depends on the umbrella. If you can afford it, spring for a Mcclaren stroller. They are amazing. Well made. Excellent storage. Compact. Great shade protection.

Alaska is awesome. Have a great time.


ps. You may borrow our stroller if I may borrow your car while you are gone. I promise to not take it to the track.

Mcclaren? rubbish! get a Bentley. haha, maybe I'm cheap but buy a relatively cheap one, they'll be all in the garbage soon. If you go Mcclaren route then maybe after a 29 day trial you're not so happy with your purchase ..wink wink

I always bring my full stroller. Umbrellas are pretty useless and rattle the kids heads around which caused brain damage.
