2.7k isn't too bad on the M3. I was afraid it might've ended up being closer to 5k and that would've required me to do some thinking

Yup! I hope the order guide drops soon now. I am right under 6 figures now, plus whatever went up. And we won't gain anything except id8, which meh. Been there, talked about that. Lol.

Given the shortage issues we will probably get higher prices but less available options. ☹️

All X variants except pure electric are US built. 60% of them exported.

So M3 xdrive is about $7,000 more than X3M now?

really gotta consider my options, M3C I have deposit on will now be like $97,000 after tax, thats pretty insane for a M3 and I didnt get any carbon options or carbon ceramics.
my lease buyout is $50K on my X3MC and its got the same damn engine and only 16,000 miles, hmmm

Appears the price increase affected the non US built cars, as the € is approaching parity with the USD.
That's one way to look at it

The X3, X4, X5, X6, X7, and future XM are US assembled so BMW US manufacturing tier 1 part suppliers are pricing in USD. The Ukraine war also wreak havoc on the European part suppliers. I highly suspect part of the price increase reflects the higher transportation costs as BMW NA probably didn't want to increase the $995 destination fee past the $1,000 psychological barrier. A 4 digit destination fee number would have a negative psychological affect on a potential buyer.

I think you are 100% accurate, especially with the Destination Fee. Ford has a higher destination fee, which is crazy, but it does mess with people. My CA said he thought they might raise the destination fee, as BMW has been one of the lowest, but doing it this way doesn't psychologically mess with you as much. Very good point!

You mean you will start a bank? Because you can already do this with a loan from a bank or credit union.

This literally pushed me just over the 100k mark I'm blessed to able to afford it but at this point I'm gonna push for the dealer to issue a discount proportional to the increase since I've had a deposit in since September of last year and had a MY22 allocation.

I suggest everyone else attempt the same.

Ya, I think once order guide comes out, Ill be there with you. And same, I am blessed enough to be able to do this, but it ate into my mods, PPF, ceramic budget. I would love some form of discount, but I doubt it in this market. Sad part is I am #1 on the list and because allocations fell short, I missed the cut after waiting for MONTHS.

Yep, start Bank of Ibiza to provide lease buy out financing to flip on the 3rd party market just to circumvent the dealer MAP/ADM that the greedy fools have been lately charging. This would wreak the BMW dealership network business model of multiple bites of the apple when the cars leave the closed loop of keeping the cars within the system.

$3700 sucks on the M3 Comp XDrive. $77,100 was looking really good, but now that eats into a lot of things.

May look at the M340i Xdrive fully loaded and get into an M3Comp a few years down the road.

Oh well, I had high hopes. I'm still going to have BMW price one out through the military program and see what it comes out to once the price sheets hit.

You can get $1500 off for Military through IDme. But cannot finance with BMWFS. I was planning take advantage of that.

They were expensive to begin with as well. M3 cars have shot up a lot in the past 10 years. I remember when I ordered an E92 M3 back in 09 I think and it was $62-64k. That was with most options as I recall. Now an M3 is around $82k without comp package, xdrive or extras.

These updates are not a surprise considering the fact that BMW US did not increase MSRP much last year with all issues which the entire industry went through.

Cars have changed now, I wouldn't even compare the two anymore. The current M3 may as well be an M5 and the upcoming M2 is like the older M3s.

That's insane. Once prices go up they never come down. The best you can expect is they keep the price the same as the previous MY if the economy stabilizes, but even then that's a long shot. The whole thing sucks.
