Probably one of my favorite chassis/powerplants BMW ever built. I hope to upgrade from my beloved 540i one day to one of these in this color.
Condolences to the departed's family. He built a complete beauty of a car.

Absolutely gorgeous! Imola is the best colour for the E39 M5 by far
Reminds me a bit of my old beast:

Yes indeed! Your old car was looking fresh and clean bro. Imola Rot II color on E39 for the win. I remember back in 2004, I was looking at a used stunning IR E39 M5 and that car really caught my eyes. Unfortunately, I couldn’t afford it around that time so I ended up getting a W210 E430 with AMG sport package. Last edited by Karter_Brazy; 04-16-2019 at 01:30 PM.. |

One of the best M5's IMO. The build quality is amazing.

Indeed - holds many memories (late nights, swearing, exploding plenums etc ) for us even though we didn't own the car during the build process. Quote:

I am sorry you required the car under these circumstances but I'm glad it's back home. Stunning.
After 15 years, my E39 M5 is still my overall favorite car.

Forgot how beautiful these old BMWs used to look after examining the current design philosophy.
What a beauty. And what a heartwarming story behind it. So powerful how cars can emotionally connect with you. |

Beautiful car. I love mine every day and realize why this is such a special model. It's the pinnacle for the M5 IMO and it's timeless. I only have 60k miles on mine and plan to keep it forever. As I've said before, I'd rather have an e39 than a new one. Condolences to the family, but glad she'll be well taken care of.
