Hi,
I'm going to do a similar install (but with a custom 8.9" screen done by me) I do not understood how to remove the grill over the dash speaker will I just have to pull it? Thank you |

If you look under the DIY or search the forum you will see how to remove the vents. There is a small tab inside them and you press the tab and pull them out.
Good luck! |

Amazing! I am by far not the tech friendliest person here. I would like to do that to one of the tablets I have. I believe it is the Asus TF700T
Would I be able to do what you did? I pretty much don't need to have it mounted to the car, just for temp purposes. any help would be greatly appreciated! |

The GPS kit from BMW will look like this. I should note that the nexus 7 doesn't fit. It's about 10 mm too big. So I shaved off on the right side and sanded it down, then wrapped in in CF. I like how it looks so When I put it in I'll post more pictures.

I like how the GPS module looks wrapped in CF, you will need to post pics once you install it! |

I will be posting my entire setup in the sales section soon as I have since sold the car. I will post a link once it is up. It will be an easy way for someone to do this upgrade without having to worry about sourcing the components and doing the programming.

Update
The case I used got warped in the car because it was too hot. Originally I just took the tablet out when I parked at work because I didn't want it baking in the sun. But taking it out caused the curved parts to widen. I had to find another alternative that was aesthetically pleasing.
I used http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 because I want it it to look slim and for the mounting I used http://www.amazon.com/Garmin-Portabl...+weighted+base The clip on the weights can be unscrewed. The curved part that clips in there, I cut off and sanded it down enough so it was flat enough to gorilla glue. I then went through several annoying steps to make it look pleasing to my eye... In the end, I like how it came out. It clips in and even has that lock switch so it can't be easily pulled out. It's a very firm fit and I can now remove the tablet with the case while only leaving the clip in there. No more heat damage! |

Phone BT Integration
I love the setup, but I'm curious if anyone has integrated BT for phone calls. I know there are products like Dension and Dice, but just wondering if anyone has integrated those products or others with this tablet project?

I've wired everything up to test the setup. However I'm finding that the charging of the tablet is an issue. Although the tablet is plugged into the cigarette lighter and the tablet shows it's charging, it losses it's charge eventually (not as fast as if it were not plugged in). I either have to completely power off the tablet and let it charge or disconnect it from the car and plug it into the wall outlet. Is anyone else experiencing similar issue?

Hello guys,
I have the BMW's portable navigation kit (part no:65902151578) with the usb cable and Garmin GPS. So i just would like to try to change it by a tablet and use visseo Bluetooth for streaming audio. So do you know a support for tablet to put on the ball of garmin support (see picture below) ? https://c1552172.ssl.cf0.rackcdn.com/604834_x800.jpg And can i use the original usb cable to charge the tablet ? but it's a mini usb and i think on a tablet it's micro usb Thanks in advance for you help ![]() Last edited by eristoff; 01-22-2016 at 11:24 AM.. |

Hello. Great job. I have one question. How did you do this interface? I use nova laucher prime and desktop vizualizer. I've made my icons in photoshop. Different size and different type. And every time when i put everything togeather my icon is so small i hardly notice it. Of course it works as its should but i can't make it bigger, suitable for its place.
Please tell me how to do it because i have no idea. This is a sample of my icons. Maybe it will help you to help me ![]() http://www.filedropper.com/internet Thanks a lot and once again congrats for great job. |
