Ced, I just dont see how this new Z4 will handle as good as the current Z4, especially 2006-2008 models. minimum of 200lbs on any model, hardtop (which greatly effects the center of gravity) and other issues. If I have to make a prediction, I would bet that in terms of "handling" , cornering and agility, this new Z4 cannot match the current Z4 (2006-2008) and definitly not the Boxster. But there has been no professional test drive yet so I dont want to make that judgement completely, we just have to wait until April/May when CarandDriver, or Motortrend boys put up to the real test: how does it drive and handle, than will see. But again, my gut feeling tells me it wont be as fun as the current Z4 or the Boxster and if so than I would not purchase/lease this car.

I understand the extra weight additions, but the extra power and potential of the turbos, upgrade in quality, and the looks, surpass what the extra weight may take away from the overall 2010 Z4 experience. If I was getting a car strictly for performance, then I would look for another vehicle. But I understand what you are saying from a weight standpoint, and center of gravity. I can't wait to see the comparison test. |

Ced, you got it right on: a comparison test between current Z4 and 2010 Z4. That would be great.
It better not handle like 328/335i hardtop conv. lol |

There are some new Z4' s on tour in Europe, i think. I also spotted the new Z4 at two dealerships, only here in Luxembourg, which is a very small country.
I also took a new illustrated catalogue of the new Z4 at the dealership, nice!!! |

well steve , we have probably seen the same car... did u share the same impression ? this car is imported from the benelux importer in borneihn, BE. i may trade my 6 moths 118d for the 23.. but still concern about consumption figures which seems fairly higher than E92 325i ..

I think I saw this car too a week or two ago. This has to be the car BMW showed behind closed doors at the Brussels Auto Show, it has the same engine, color (Tiefseeblue with Design Pure White) and the same equipment.
I have to say that I was overwhelmed by the looks of it and even more by the feeling you get when taking place behind the wheel. The design of the interior and the used materials gave me the impression that this is from a higher segment than the Z4 I drive now. After the presentation in Brussels I drove back to my place but made a "quick stop" at my dealer and ordered one... can't wait... Grtz Ramius |

Love the nose it reminds me of a shark...I'm going to have to check the interior out in person, the heat controls just reminded me of a PT cruiser for some sick reason unacceptable IMO
