Painted Roll Bar Covers

I got this idea from ṕarkstaff'who painted his covers white for more visibility, I did just the opposite. Mine are now flat black for invisibility.

Looks sharp, I saw it on a AW looked real cool ... nice job you did there

PS. Mick I once had something fall onto my former Z4 neighbour needed a tool, so I got it ... cost me $200- to fix the dent(s) it created on the hood. I note your garage is rather crowded hope it does not happen to you, just wanted to give you the heads up there

Rolf,
Thanks but nothing is close to the Z4 other than my Vette which is parked about 10" above it. Full length drip pans prevent anything from falling on the Z4. The angle looks really weird, maybe thatś it......

Thanks Rolf.

Should be out of customs next week, a few weeks early.

Mind you, our winter is hotter than your summer, so this is not really a set of winter wheels, more just a family transporter.

Nice wheels ... I almost traded my jag in for the very same car then due other issue I shall not mention anymore I ended up trading the jag for the MB C350 now our DD.

Enjoy your new wheels my friend and don't whatever you do take it off road at night ... I do remember how many kangaroos roam around your Outback at night I saw it when I was down under in the 80s for 3 months

Alex,
There are 7 ball-end posts on the silver part and 7 rubber grommets on the forward
black part. Try to pry the silver part away from the black part. The black part is śort of´ attached to the black plastic inner cover. No big deal if it comes off, just tap it back on.

Thumbs up

I color matched mine to the exterior of the car about 2 days after I took delivery (about 4 months ago). That was my number one priority, as far as mods go.

I liked the painted covers - had mine done too.

Here are two photos. I also de-badged and put on colored marekers. Seems to bring out the body lines.
