The weather pros who cried wolf. Again. We canceled plans to go to Terre Haute today because they had warned of heavy T-storms with hail and tornadoes. Supposedly on and off T-Storms all day with the heavy stuff coming in at 3PM. That was last night. This morning it was "scattered" T-storms with heavier storms later. Then it was "windy" with T-storms starting around 7:30PM. Now it's "possible storms" later this evening. Maybe I should just ask ChatGPT next time.

After the nasty T-storms blew through last night, I had to go out in the rain and wind to pick up all the recyclables that got blown all over the yard when the bin toppled. That was fun.
And today our internet access has been up and down like a yoyo. Luckily we have our Verizon Mifi as a backup.

Pouring with rain at times yesterday and thankfully stopping for today allowing for an unhindered 3-4 mile walk, still too cold for the bike.

We're smack-dab in the middle of early spring: freezing tomorrow morning, rising to 79 by Tuesday afternoon.

Slowly getting into Spring here. Temps averaging in the upper 50s and lower 60s during the day. But it's also tornado season and has been a nasty one so far.

Highs a week from Monday are forecasted at 85F, then 86, then 89. BAM! Right in to summer. lol
Just replaced my 15 year old air conditioner. Was starting to give out last summer. Gotta be proactive. Don't want to be caught in 100F+ temps with no A/C.

Finally, the weather is good enough to make it to the Sierra for a ski trip. We've had to put it off two times because the roads have been closed.
Now, a few sunny days in row and mid-30 degree F days and all is well. Here are some shots of the epic snow we have had here in California. They are saying this year is the most snowfall on record. My snow shovel would agree! We are at my buddy's condo at Kirkwood Resort. When we arrived, the access to the condo was completely blocked. The snow clearing crews have been overwhelmed so the drive was not yet cleared. I'm glad I brought a shovel. To the right of the photo of my shoveling is where the front door to the condo is located. It happens to be buried under a massive amount of snow. The garage was the only way in. After a lot of shoveling, I finally cleared enough to get the car in the garage. Should be an epic week of skiing with both kids and 6 grand kids. |

A little bit of everything
Sun, hail, rain and snow all within the last 3 hours. The ski hill outside of town had 119 inches of snow in the month of March. Supposed to be in the seventies next week.
