My black 35i ESS
Hi members on Zpost
![]() ![]() The Z4 is pretty good equipped, but has not the full list. It has adaptive M-dampers, Sportsseats, Comfort access, Servotronic, 19" 296 wheels, lightpackage, exterior mirrorpackage, black rooflining, bi-xenon and the most important, a manual gearbox. I testdrove a car with DKG and it was nothing for me, so I`m really happy with my manual ![]() I have some plans for my new Z4 of course ![]() -M bumper with 35is grills -M rear bumper with 35is diffuser (painted Maserati grey) -M steeringwheel -M gearknob -M doorsills -ESS flash software with 1M torque settings -H&R lowering springs -20" Breyton Race LS -35is exhaust -Delete the rear catalytic converters -BMW X5 30i facelift exhaust tips -LUX V3 parking lights -Stubby -Coulour the brakes -Detailing job It will be more than this, but this is a good start ![]() Pics of my first Z4, a 2004 2.2 with some light mods ![]() ![]() ![]() Pics of my second Z4, a 2004 2.2 ESS Supercharged with a lot of mods ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pics of my third Z4, a 2009 35i original at the moment :| ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

And now some updates on my E89. Did some detailing on the paintwork this weekend. Have allready painted my bonnet because it had some stone chips and yesterday I started to wetsand the whole car to a better finish. Since my hood was painted with a lot of clearcoat I could really get a nice finish, the rest of the car was sanded to a ok finish. The only thing not wetsanded was bumpers. I shall replace them soon
![]() I have also mounted my new 20" Breytons, but the Z looks like a SUV at the moment ![]() ![]() Heres some pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Finished pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Those wheels are awesome - could you offer a bit more info on them? What size are they? Did you need spacers or where they plug and play? Are they available in both 19 and 18" as well?
Btw, why would you fit all those M-sport parts? I can agree with adding a rear diffuser, but what is there not to like about the standard steering wheel for instance? I personally would also prefer the standard bumper, you just need to paint those gray intakes in a darker color. I do not understand why they made those gray even if the rest of the car is not. I actually ended up choosing the champagne color mainly because it matched the color of those gray intakes. ![]() If you paint the standard bumper you also get to keep that nice lip which is not there on the M-sport one! It is of course a matter of taste, but it seems that everyone just swap with the m-sport bumper by default without giving the standard one any real chance. I would love to see someone do the diffuser plus painted standard bumper combination. ![]() In any case, best of luck and please post more pics soon! |

I love the wet sand - now that I have seen the results on your car I will do that to ours if I can find a shop in Austin that can be trusted.

The wheels are only produced in 20" by Breyton. They are 8,5" and 10" with ET35 front and rear. No spacers needed. They rubbed a little againts the rear plastic inner fenders, so I had to cut away some plastic to sort that out ![]() ![]() I have 245/30-20 and 285/25-20 Falken FK453 fitted(Falkens new tire) and really happy with them. Have you seen and felt the nice thick nappa steering wheel before? It`s a big approvement over the standard steering wheel. But as you say the standard one is also nice ![]() Heres a picture of my two steeringwheels:

![]() Since the car is black and its harder to see the intakes, I wanted the 35is inserts. Personally I think that was a good decision ![]() Have some bad quality phone pics of the car for now, more will come. The Z is also lowered on H&R springs at the last two pics ![]() Before and after pictures of the bumpers:

![]() Finally some updates on my E89 ![]() I have spent some time mounting some nice new parts. M-front bumper with 35is silver wings, M steeringwheel, H&R lowering springs, BMW X5 35i exhaust tips twisted 90 degrees and mounting a new leather piece in the seat. Heres som pics: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Difference of a non-M and M-steeringwheel: ![]() And then some pics of changing the leather in the seat.
