sDrive20i > sDrive28i DME update

Hi,
I check that both models is exactly same engine hardware and ECU.
Idea is update ECU with WinKfp to get power upgrade.
What would be correct MEVD1729 ZUSB assembly number for LL51?
Maybe some nice 2.8i owner can check program version from they car.
Thanks.

Assuming no actual hardware difference, flashing the higher power class software will likely result in a "limp mode".

The DME program compares the software power class against a value stored in the CAS or other module and mismatching them shifts the DME into limp mode.

You can beat this protection but no one around here has done much work with your car.

Try "pinging" bimmerlabs.com.

Hassmachine usually hangs out in the E90 sections.

The different between 20i and 28i is compression ratio 11:1 and 10:1 .
So max boost in 28i is 22PSI (from data that I found ) and 20i that I monitor is 12PSI

In the uk this is incorrect, all the 2litre turbo z4’s have the 11:1 compression ratio. Check realoem.com and you will see all the engine parts are identical.
Can you post a link to the data you say you found?

I updated already from 2.0 software to 2.8. But it causes mismatch between CAS module power class. I didn't found easy way to change power class /reset working hours, So I ended to tune original soft.
